Park of Baratti and Populonia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>archaeological park of Baratti and Populonia<\/strong> extends into the area where the Roman and Etruscan city \u201cPopulonia\u201d once stood.<\/p>\n<p>Populonia has been famous in antiquity and still is today for their activity linked to iron.<\/p>\n<p>The archaeological park, divided <strong>into two distinct areas<\/strong>, shows the changes over time of the whole city:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the highest part it is possible to visit the acropolis of Populonia formed by temples, mosaics and streets still of Roman origin.<\/li>\n<li>In the lower part you will find the necropolis of the Etruscan city, which includes the old industries where the metals were worked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The relative area of ??the park is also <strong>used as a path for trekking or a nice walk<\/strong> where you can breathe the smell of uncontaminated nature thanks to the wooded paths you can cross.<\/p>\n<p>The park offers various events, both for adults and children during the warmer seasons: school workshops, tours, guided tours and shows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia
